TULSA, OK — At least four people are dead and multiple people are injured following a shooting at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, according to police.
The gunfire erupted about 5 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg said. In a statement, the police department said a man armed with a rifle entered a building on the hospital’s campus on Wednesday afternoon.
“This turned into active shooter situation,” the department said.

Meulenberg said that several people may be dead and several others were wounded.
The gunman, who hasn’t been identified, was confirmed to have been fatally injured, the department said.
It wasn’t clear how he died and a motive remained unclear.
Authorities said he went to the building’s second floor and opened fire. Police were carrying out a room-by-room search to search for other threats, the department said.
